In a shocking incident in Palmeirais, Piauí, a man identified as Francisco Akassio Santos Nunes was gunned down with more than 10 bullets to the head on the morning of Friday, March 28, 2025. The gruesome murder took place on Rua Manuca, approximately 118 km south of Teresina. According to the Piauí Military Police (PMPI), the victim, known to be a drug user, was found lifeless at around 8:20 AM after authorities were alerted to the crime scene. Despite extensive searches, no suspects have been identified or apprehended, leaving the motive behind this violent execution unclear.
The scene was secured by the PMPI, and the body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) for further examination.
