Body of Crocodile Attack Victim Found Near Matang-Kampung Paroh River in Kuching

Accident, Dead male, Gore

The lifeless body of a victim from a brutal crocodile attack was discovered in a river near Jalan Matang-Kampung Paroh, Kuching, approximately 300 meters from where the incident occurred.

The search and rescue operation, which involved five major agencies—APM, JBPM, Marine Police, PGU, and SFC—finally succeeded in locating the body after water levels receded, making the search easier.

The remains have been sent to Sarawak General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. This tragic and violent incident serves as a chilling reminder of the dangers lurking in high-risk river areas, especially those known to be crocodile habitats.

Authorities urge the public to exercise extreme caution and avoid riverside activities in regions with confirmed crocodile presence.
