In a gruesome case that has shocked residents of Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, the headless body of a man was discovered in Paramasan Atas on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, is believed to have been brutally murdered and beheaded by his own wife following a violent domestic altercation.
According to early investigations, the couple were recent migrants to the village and worked as gold panners. Their marriage was also relatively new. Tensions reportedly escalated after the husband allegedly threw their child into a river and slapped his wife during an argument.
Fueled by rage and possibly desperation, the wife, who was holding a machete at the time, allegedly struck her husband multiple times—first at the waist, then at the hands—before decapitating him. She later discarded his severed head into a nearby forest.
