According to eyewitnesses, Beatriz was riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by her father when the vehicle lost balance after hitting a pile of debris on the avenue. Her father fell to one side, sustaining minor injuries, while Beatriz fell to the other, directly into the path of an oncoming bus. The bus tragically crushed her head, resulting in her immediate death at the scene.
