Bangli, Bali, Indonesia – A heated dispute over tour schedules in the jeep tour community escalated into a bloody confrontation, killing two men with swords and spears.
Former friends and jeep coordinators Jero Sumadi and suspects including 26-year-old I Ketut Arta clashed after a provocative message. Victims Sumadi, I Ketut Artawa, and Wayan Ruslan attacked Arta with sharp weapons; he fled and returned with allies armed for vengeance.
Sumadi and Artawa were hacked to death, Ruslan injured. Police arrested Arta and accomplices.
The incident exposes violent rivalries in Bali’s volcano tour sector.
