A 63-year-old merchant, Alfonso Ramos Prado, was found lifeless by his family in his residence in Barrio Bolívar, El Vigía, on Sunday morning. The victim owned the butcher shop and grocery store Comercializadora Don Alfonso, located in the same building where he lived.
Detectives from the CICPC Municipal Delegation in El Vigía are investigating the case. Unofficial sources indicate the death may have been a suicide, pending forensic results to determine the exact circumstances. The body was removed and transferred to the morgue for further examination.
