A 67-year-old man, Ramón Arístides López Núñez, was decapitated with a machete by his nephew during a dispute over inherited land and property. The incident occurred in the Cuero Duro sector of San Víctor municipality, Espaillat province. The victim’s body also showed multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. The alleged attacker, identified as Juan Alberto Díaz López, was detained by police shortly after the crime. According to witness accounts, the aggressor moved the body to his home and continued the assault with a stick. The detainee is in police custody and will be handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for legal proceedings.
