A serious traffic accident on the morning of Sunday, August 23, on the road linking Riohacha to Camarones in La Guajira left three people dead. The victims, one man and two women, were traveling on a motorcycle when they were struck by a Toyota Fortuner. Two of the deceased were identified as Stefany Oviedo Díaz and Tamayo Herrera; the third victim, a woman, had not yet been officially identified. Authorities completed the corresponding procedures and transferred the bodies to Medicina Legal in Riohacha. The circumstances of the crash remained under investigation.
