On the morning of Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Distrito Industrial 2 area of eastern Manaus, locals discovered the dismembered body of an unidentified man in an open-air garbage dump. The gruesome discovery was made when passersby noticed the victim’s head among the discarded materials, with other body parts found inside a fiber bag nearby. Authorities were promptly notified, and the area was secured to await forensic experts and the Medical-Legal Institute (IML).
The victim is described as a male between 25 and 30 years old, with a medium complexion and a short beard. Some individuals at the scene reported having seen the man receiving bones from a nearby supermarket known for its charitable donations, but his identity remains unknown.
