On Monday morning, a horrific scene unfolded in Chilapa de Álvarez, located in Guerrero’s Montaña region, as authorities discovered the dismembered bodies of two men and two women along the Chilpancingo-Tlapa federal highway near the Xochimilco community. The remains were scattered beside the road, with the victims’ heads gruesomely displayed on a makeshift wooden table. A banner left at the scene accused the victims of being involved in the sale of “crystal” (methamphetamine).
The shocking discovery prompted a swift response from multiple law enforcement agencies, who confirmed the incident and secured the area to preserve the crime scene. Preliminary reports indicate that the victims, two young men and two young women, included two individuals previously reported missing.
