Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico – A severely mutilated male body was discovered dumped outside the 4 Ríos shopping plaza. The victim was found completely undressed, with his head skinned and the flayed face placed next to the corpse, reportedly attached to a pumpkin (“calabaza”).
The deceased has been identified as Jesús Armando Valdés López, alias “El Indio de La Tola,” allegedly the chief hitman of the criminal faction known as “Los Calabazas.” A narco-banner left at the scene was directed against “El Churras Calabazas,” identified as the leader of Los Calabazas.
