In a horrifying discovery that has shocked residents of Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra, the dismembered torso of 25-year-old Septia A. was found floating near fishing boats along a local river. The mutilated remains were discovered on June 18, drawing immediate attention from both authorities and the public.
The following day, additional body parts—including a severed head and leg—were recovered along nearby beaches, leading investigators to believe the perpetrator attempted to use the ocean currents to dispose of the evidence.
On June 19, police arrested a suspect, identified as Wanda, who later confessed to murdering Septia. During interrogation, Wanda also admitted to killing two other women who had gone missing in the previous year. He claimed to have buried their bodies in an old well near his home, raising fears of a serial killer operating in the region.
