Tapachula, Chiapas – March 7, 2025: Escalating violence in Chiapas has led to a gruesome find after police received a radio report of three black plastic bags containing human remains discovered on a highway near the forest edge in Cantón Nueva Granada.
Upon arrival, authorities confirmed the bags held dismembered bodies. The shocking discovery was immediately reported to the state prosecutor’s office.
This crime highlights rival groups battling for territorial control, once again spreading terror in this border region plagued by various forms of criminal activity.
