Residents of Desa Muara Dua, Kecamatan Semendo Darat Laut (SDL), Kabupaten Muara Enim, were shocked by the discovery of a woman’s body in the Sungai Mio river on Tuesday morning (19/5/2026). The victim was found stuck on river rocks at around 07:17 WIB.
After evacuation and identification, the deceased was confirmed as Misdaliana, 46, a housewife from Dusun 2, Desa Muara Dua. Police stated that the victim had a history of epilepsy.
Muara Enim Police Chief, through Kasi Humas AKP RTM Situmorang, explained that the body was first discovered by local resident Harminaini while heading to the river under Jembatan Air Mio. Suspicious of an object on the rocks, Harminaini called other residents to confirm it was a human body.
