Catanduva, São Paulo, Brazil – A man was arrested this Friday (April 24) on suspicion of killing another man with repeated blows from a pickaxe to the head.
According to the Military Police, officers responded to a report of a body discovery in the early morning hours. At the scene, they found the victim with his skull completely crushed.
During the search, police entered a nearby house and recovered the victim’s documents and cell phone. The bloodstained pickaxe used as the murder weapon was also seized.
Security cameras captured the suspect walking with the victim, aiding in his identification. The perpetrator was located at a rural property, where he attempted to flee upon seeing police. Officers found him hiding inside a drum. The suspect confessed to the crime during his apprehension.
