A 47-year-old man identified as Lucimar da Silva, known as “Tio Lúcio”, died after being struck by a locomotive in the rural area of Soledade de Minas, Minas Gerais, on March 29, 2026.
The accident occurred around 12:10 p.m. near the railway line between Soledade de Minas and São Lourenço. The victim suffered severe cranioencephalic trauma, lacerations on the upper limbs, and traumatic amputation of one lower limb. Rescue teams from the Military Fire Department and SAMU applied tourniquets to control hemorrhages, immobilized him on a long board, and provided advanced life support before transporting him to the emergency unit in São Lourenço. He did not survive the injuries and was buried on the morning of March 30, 2026, at the Municipal Cemetery of São Lourenço.
