SANTA RITA, Paraíba, Brazil – A severely tortured and mutilated male body was discovered Friday morning (February 13) along the PB-016 highway in Santa Rita, Paraíba.
According to delegate Douglas Garcia, the unidentified victim had more than 30 bullet wounds from various calibers, deep cuts inflicted by a sickle or machete, bound legs, and both hands severed at the wrists.
Authorities suspect the execution-style killing was carried out by a criminal gang. The brutality and characteristics of the crime suggest the victim may have been involved in theft-related activities.
