A tragic incident shocked the region of Qamdo, Tibet, when a 20-year-old male tourist was brutally killed by a wild bear on March 29 this year. The man, a local from Jiangda County, was reportedly traveling alone on a self-driving trip through the Tibetan highlands.
According to local authorities, the victim encountered the bear while searching for a yak in the remote mountains. The Tibetan bear, known for its territorial nature, launched a sudden and violent attack. Despite attempts to escape, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
