Woman Fatally Crushed by Dump Truck in Tragic Soledad Accident
A tragic and fatal traffic accident occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, on Calle 30 in Soledad, Atlántico, directly in front of the INEM educational institution.
A heavy dump truck ran over a woman of heavy build, killing her instantly. Reports suggest that she was traveling on a motorcycle, though it remains unclear whether she was the rider or a passenger.
A witness at the scene stated, “It looks like the truck ran over her. I don’t know more details, but when I passed by, the woman was already covered with a sheet.”
Barranquilla’s Metropolitan Police and Soledad’s Traffic Institute arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances of the accident and determine whether negligence or recklessness was involved.
The identity of the deceased woman has yet to be confirmed.
