Young Man Found Brutally Murdered in Calamar, Bolívar: Shocking Details Emerge
Calamar, Bolívar – A chilling discovery has left the community of Calamar in shock after the lifeless body of 21-year-old David Villalba Jurado was found in a wooded area on Monday, March 3, 2025. The young man, reported missing since Sunday, March 2, suffered a gruesome fate, with authorities confirming he was killed by multiple machete wounds.
David Villalba Jurado’s family raised the alarm on social media late Sunday night, sharing his photo and contact numbers in a desperate plea for help. According to relatives, David had left his home on the outskirts of Calamar that morning to drive his cousin, Manuel Mendoza, into town. After dropping Mendoza off, he was supposed to return home but never did. His uncharacteristic absence sparked immediate concern among his loved ones, who alerted authorities and began a search.

The search ended in tragedy when David’s body was discovered in a remote, forested spot known as El Playón, just two kilometers from Calamar’s urban center. The Bolívar Police reported that the young man had sustained over five deep machete wounds across his body. In a haunting detail, investigators noted a distinct marking on his back—a carved letter “S”— hinting at a possible message or signature left by his killers.
