A young woman identified as Iracy Guedes was shot dead in a rural farm in Senador José Porfírio, southwest of Pará state, Brazil. According to reports, an armed man broke into the house where she was staying and opened fire multiple times, hitting her in the head as she tried to flee, causing her death on the spot. Other people present managed to escape by jumping out of a window.
The case has caused shock as the victim had survived a violent machete attack on June 7 in the city center, where a woman named Geane Lobato Gomes was stabbed to death and another person was injured. Civil Police are investigating the crime as intentional homicide, have requested forensic examinations, and continue searching for the perpetrator, who has not yet been captured.
