On May 15, violent clashes erupted in Myintsung Township when terrorist People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) launched a surprise assault on the Kyauk Uy village militia camp. The militia forces responded with force, leading to an intense firefight that lasted for several hours. As a result of the encounter, three PDF members were confirmed dead on the battlefield.
Eyewitnesses from the village reported hearing heavy gunfire and explosions throughout the morning, causing widespread panic among residents. The situation has now stabilized, but tensions remain high as security personnel continue to monitor the area for further threats.
