KAMYSHIN, VOLGOGRAD REGION, RUSSIA – A shocking act of violence has stunned the city of Kamyshin after federal judge Vasily Vetlugin was brutally murdered outside the local district court. The attacker, identified as 47-year-old war veteran Sergey K., had recently returned from fighting in Ukraine. Believing Vetlugin was having an affair with his wife, Sergey ambushed the judge near the courthouse and opened fire with a Saiga carbine. Witnesses reported multiple gunshots before the soldier carried out a gruesome attack — stabbing the judge in the head and severing his penis, which he then forced into the victim’s mouth. Sergey later surrendered to police, though some reports speculate he may be sent back to the Ukrainian front instead of facing a prison sentence. The incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the mental toll of the war on returning soldiers.
