On September 19, 2024, in Jutaí, Amazonas, Brazil, a man identified as ‘Grego’ was brutally attacked and killed after confessing to the rape and murder of a one-year-and-seven-month-old toddler, Layla Vitória. After his arrest and confession at a local police station, enraged civilians stormed the facility, dragged Grego into the street, and subjected him to extreme violence. He was beaten, hung, and burned alive. The toddler’s body, reportedly dumped in a river, has not been recovered, according to police reports.
