Feira de Santana, Bahia – A 30-year-old woman was brutally stoned to death on Friday morning (February 20) on Estrada do Calango, in the Maria Quitéria rural district of Feira de Santana, the second-largest city in Bahia.
The victim was identified as Laiane Nascimento Rodrigues. Her boyfriend, an 18-year-old man who is the main suspect, was arrested at the scene and confessed to the crime.
According to Gustavo Coutinho, Head of the Homicide Investigation Division (DH) in Feira de Santana, the suspect and an accomplice had been drinking alcohol before a heated argument erupted. Following the dispute, the boyfriend killed Laiane by repeatedly throwing stones at her. The victim’s body was found with her face completely smashed and unrecognizable.
