The violent attack occurred last weekend when two men on a motorcycle fired at least 10 bullets at her without saying a word, as her partner watched in horror. The attackers quickly fled the scene, leaving behind bullet shells, shattered bottles, and overturned tables.
Police confirmed that Rivas Rodríguez, a mother, had previously reported harassment from her ex-partner in December 2024, which may be linked to the shooting. However, they are also exploring other possible motives, including her alleged involvement in extortion and homicide cases. Her current partner, Hairo Márquez Correa, who has a criminal record, is also under investigation, adding weight to the theory of a possible dispute resolution.
